Wintergreen Adaptive Sports provides outdoor sports and recreational opportunities for persons with disabilities. We serve people of all ages and with all types of disabilities.
WAS offers adaptive instruction in alpine skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, and canoeing. Each summer at its Wounded Warriors Golf tournament, WAS holds an adaptive golf clinic. Safety, fun, and learning are the priorities in every activity.
Wintergreen Adaptive Sports is an independent 501c3 non-profit based at Wintergreen Resort in Nelson County, Virginia. It is a Chapter of Disabled Sports USA and a Paralympic sports club.

Wintergreen Adaptive Sports has decades of experience with both adults and children. We enjoy sharing in the adventure of learning how to safely adapt to develop the unique skills it takes to enjoy skiing and snowboarding.
Teach A lesson
Our all-volunteer staff of instructors are the base of our program, providing outdoor sports and recreational opportunities for persons with disabilities. Our training will show you how to effectively teach all ages and work with all types of disabilities.
Have Some Fun
We are serious about having a good time on and off the slopes. Wintergreen Adaptive Sports holds several events throughout the year on the slopes and for runners, golfers, people who enjoy good food, and for those who like to laugh.
