On Friday, February 6, 2015, Wintergreen Adaptive Sports welcomed 34 wounded warrior athletes and additional 60 family members and caregivers for an exciting weekend of adaptive snow sports instruction, rest and relaxation, and camaraderie.
Seth Whitten, Emma Shreve, and Jason Coleman earned gold medals in the men's senior standing, the women's standing, and the men's sitting divisions, while WAS racers Michael Murphy and Keith Gaskell earned silver and bronze medals in the men's sitting division.
Wintergreen Adaptive Sports held its 10th annual Warriors Weekend of exciting snow sports, camaraderie, and rest and relaxation for our honored wounded warrior guests and their families. WAS hosted 32 warriors and an additional 40 family members for three days.
The January 2014 Washingtonian showcased the region's best snow sports places and opportunities. Wintergreen Adaptive Sports was selected as the region's best adaptive snow sports program.
